How To Login & Generate Transaction Password in Canara Internet banking

After completing Canara Net banking registration process, you will get login password. But to use internet banking features, you need to get a transaction password. In this article, we are going to tell you step by step how to login for the first time and generate a transaction password for Canara bank internet banking online.

First-time login and set transaction Password for Canara Net banking:

Step 1: You can login for the first time to set a transaction password. To do so, you will have to navigate to the net banking web page by clicking https://canarabank.com/NET_Banking.aspx.

Step 2: Enter your Canara bank Customer ID and password to log in. Now fill in your Atm Card number, Atm pin, and expiry date, then click ‘submit‘.

Step 3: Now enter OTP sent to your registered mobile number and re-enter the same in the second field.

Step 4: Now enter the transaction password of your choice and re-enter the same to confirm, then click the ‘submit‘ button. Your request to generate a transaction password will be completed successfully.

You can start Canara net banking by using a newly set login and transaction password. Now You will be able to change the password to your desired password and you will then be able to access net banking as you do for any other bank.

    • Try from the CANARA BANK LITE version. The option is visible for me but I am getting a transaction not available error

  • I too don't have to generate transaction password option. tried all means including candi site, setting etc. gave all details, got otp, but when I put otp it says transaction not allowed.

  • Extremely poor service provided by Canara Bank. No guidance on Netbanking whatsoever. Need to rely on google for understanding the procedure. Additionally, setting up a transaction password is quite a hassle. Tried for 2 hours straight to only get the account locked for 24 hours. Very poor service. Wish the bank could be more helpful and user-friendly.

  • I was unable to generate a transaction password even after entering the debit card numbers and other details. The error I was facing was "This transaction is not allowed". I tried multiple times but was getting the same error message right from the first attempt.

    Some of the stupid responses I got from their customer care team:

    1. Your transaction password is locked because you tried multiple times
    (Helloooooo.....I never generated my transaction password and it got locked????????????)

    2. Please change browser and retry.
    (Wow!!!!)

    3. Your password will be unlocked after 24 hours. (which I never generated, huh?????)

    I tried speaking with customer care executives in Hindi, Marathi, and English... all the 3 languages but got disappointing replies every time.... Pathetic service.....

    Finally, I got to know that I physically need to visit a branch to generate a transaction password.

      It is very stressful. Mam, how you have fixed it?

  • My complaint is not accepted online. I can't find your e-mail ID also.
    My problems are-
    1. Can't open my locker.
    2. Pass-book is not updated at the bank.

    if you have ATM Card ..then you generate a transaction password. without ATM you can't do this.

  • This is the worst and flop software we have come across in dealing with banks Internet facilities. HDFC AND SBI INTERNET BANKING SYSTEM IS FAR FAR BETTER THAN CAN SECURE OR CANARA BANK INTERNET SOFTWARE. EVEN AFTER SIX YEARS OF OUR TRY & SEVERAL COMPLAINTS TO GRIEVANCE CELL OR OUR BRANCH MANAGER WE ARE NOT GETTING ANY SERVICES OF IT, FINALLY WE OPTED FOR PARALLEL ACCOUNT WITH HDFC BANK, IT PROVES THE IRRESPONSIBILITY OF PSU BANKS AND THAT IS WHY THEY ARE RUNNING IN LOSS OF THEIR EQUITY FUNDS EVEN.
