What is NEFT?
NEFT stands for National Electronic Funds Transfer. Thus, as the name suggests, NEFT is the process of nationwide transfer of funds from one account holder to another account holder. This can also take place between two accounts of a separate branch or even separate banks as a whole.
NEFT Timings In PNB
This is an important part of NEFT, The timings. One has to keep in mind that one cannot do any NEFT throughout the day even if one tries that through their internet banking.
NEFT for PNB is available between 8 am in the morning to 7 pm in the evening on weekdays. On Saturday, the bank avails of NEFT services from 8 am to 1 pm.
Important: If one does NEFT after or before the allotted hours, the transaction would be withheld until the NEFT working hour comes into effect the next effective day. Thus, make sure that you take care of the time when working with NEFT of PNB bank.

Limits On NEFT Transactions In PNB
Well, when it comes to Punjab National Bank, there is no lower limit for NEFT. However, the highest limit is set at Rs 500 lakhs. For most users that would act as unlimited.
For Retail Internet Banking User – Rs.2 lac as Maximum amount limit per transaction within the overall per day funds transfer limit of Rs.15 lac.
For Corporate Internet Banking User – no maximum amount limit per transaction

What are the charges for NEFT?
For inward transactions, the fees would be Rs 0.00. However, when one is doing an NEFT, the fees would be as follows:
For any amount within Rs 10,000, the charges would be Rs 2.00+ GST.
For any amount within Rs 10,000 to 1,00,000 the charges would be Rs 4.00+ GST.
For any amount within Rs 1,00,000 to 2,00,000 the charges would be Rs 12.00+ GST.
For any amount above Rs 2,00,000, the charges would be Rs 20.00+ GST.

Can I do NEFT from any PNB branch?
For now, out of the approximately 80,000 branches that the company has across the nation, a little over 70,000 have NEFT facilities. Thus you would mostly have NEFT enabled, but still, you should check out if your bank supports it.
