In the last post, we have posted detail information regarding SBI fd rates. Now its time to cover Punjab national fixed deposit rates for 2019. Today I surprised to see PNB fixed deposit interest rates from the official bank website. Punjab national bank is much better than the state bank of India for both long and short term deposits.
For saving accounts, Punjab national bank provides 3.5% for balance below 50 Lacs and 4.00% for balance above 50 Lacs, which is quite Good. You can see details in the chart, these rates are for amount up to 10 Crores. Below rates are effective from 1 February 2019.

In the case of Punjab national bank, fixed deposit interest rates are better than SBI for above 91 days. You can compare with all other Indian banks fd rates before opening FD account in Punjab National Bank.
Important notes:
- For senior citizens, extra .50% is applicable for deposits below 1 crore only.
- PNB tax saver scheme offers 6.25% interest for above 5 years deposits and 6.25 % interest for period 5 years to 10 years.
